Beauty From Ashes Conference

Volunteer Partnership FAQ

We are deeply grateful for the women who step forward to serve.
Volunteering with Beauty From Ashes is not about filling a gap—it’s about
standing in partnership with a movement that restores, uplifts, and serves women with excellence. This page is designed to answer questions clearly and honorably so you can decide if this opportunity is the right fit for you.

What does it mean to be a Beauty From Ashes volunteer?

Volunteers are considered conference partners, not helpers on the sidelines.

You are part of the team that makes the experience possible—for speakers, attendees, and guests. Your role directly contributes to the atmosphere, flow, and care that define Beauty From Ashes.

We serve with intention, excellence, and joy.

What do volunteers receive?

Every selected volunteer receives:

• A Beauty From Ashes Volunteer T-Shirt

• An official Volunteer Lanyard & Badge

• A Swag Bag curated specifically for our volunteer team

Lunch provided during volunteer hours

25% off the Friday night Comedy Show (June 5th)

Public recognition at the conference

Recognition on the Beauty From Ashes website

• Priority consideration for future Beauty From Ashes events

Most importantly, you receive the opportunity to serve in a space that values you, supports you, and treats you with respect.

Is volunteering the same as attending the conference?

No. Volunteering is a service role, not event attendance.

Volunteers are scheduled to serve throughout the conference and will not be attending sessions as guests. This distinction allows us to preserve the integrity of the experience for all attendees while honoring volunteers in a different—and meaningful—way.

If you are looking to attend the conference as a guest, we warmly encourage registration.

I already purchased a ticket. What happens if I’m selected as a volunteer?

We understand this situation comes up, and we want to be transparent and fair.

Because the conference operates on tight margins and commitments are made in advance, tickets are not refunded if a registrant is selected to volunteer.

However, you have flexible options:

• You may gift your ticket to a friend or loved one

• You may roll your ticket forward to a future Beauty From Ashes conference

We are happy to help facilitate either option.

Why aren’t volunteers able to attend sessions?

This policy is in place to ensure:

• Volunteers are present and available where needed

• Attendees receive a consistent, uninterrupted experience

• The volunteer role remains rooted in service, not access

This also protects the heart of volunteering as an act of contribution, not a workaround for admission.

What is required to apply?

To be considered, all volunteers must:

1. Complete a Volunteer Application

2. Sign a Volunteer Commitment Letter

3. Commit to serving both Friday and Saturday

4. Be willing to volunteer wherever needed

5. Provide a headshot and short bio

6. Share Beauty From Ashes on your social media

7. Bring a friend who registers for the conference

These steps help us steward the experience well and build a reliable, aligned team.

What about background checks?

If selected for a role that involves working with teens, a background check is required. This is for the safety and protection of everyone involved and is non-negotiable for those assignments.

Is there a cost to volunteer?

We ask volunteers to make a minimum $10 donation as part of their commitment.

This helps offset operational costs and reinforces that volunteering is a partnership, not a free-access exchange. Details are shared during the selection process.

How are volunteers selected?

Volunteers are selected based on:

• Availability

• Alignment with the mission

• Willingness to serve fully

• Completion of all application steps

Submitting an application does not guarantee placement. We carefully review each one to ensure the best fit for both you and the conference.

What if I can’t commit to both days?

At this time, we are only able to accept volunteers who can commit to both Friday and Saturday. This consistency is essential to the flow and success of the conference.

What kind of roles might volunteers serve in?

Roles vary and may include:

• Guest experience and hospitality

• Registration and check-in

• Speaker support

• Room flow and logistics

• Teen track support (if qualified)

• Behind-the-scenes coordination

Assignments are based on need, experience, and availability.

Why volunteer with Beauty From Ashes?

Women volunteer with us because they want to:

• Be part of something meaningful

• Serve in a space rooted in faith, care, and excellence

• Support other women in their healing journeys

• Contribute to a movement larger than themselves

This is not a casual volunteer opportunity.

It is purposeful, organized, and deeply appreciated.

Final Note

If you are looking for a way to attend the conference, we encourage registration.

If you are looking for a way to serve, support, and stand in partnership, volunteering may be right for you.

We honor both paths.

Thank you for considering being part of Beauty From Ashes.
